We're Hiring - Head of Merchandising

As the Head of Product and Merchandising, you’ll determine the proper mix of product categories (including quantities, colors, etc) and guide the product team as they design the product. You’ll also oversee the identification of new product categories and will oversee the development of new product. You’ll perform these duties for our limited edition product, Signature line, licensed product, and wholesale. Below is a more comprehensive list of duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the overall company strategy and translate into a product strategy including budgets and allocation of spend

  • Oversee the product strategy and placement including product mix, product categories (existing and new), and product channel management

  • Analyze sales history to identify proper quantities, trends in style, and product mix gaps

  • Develop deck and present in board meetings on product topics

  • Plan and arrange our product releases (what we call our Drops board) so the right product is being release at the right time to the right customers

  • Develop list of requirements for design planning for each season and run the bi-weekly design planning meetings

  • Develop new product launch plans and coordinate efforts with the marketing team


Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product and/or merchandising experience at an apparel or soft goods company
  • Must be able to style a collection of product AND have a high degree of competence for number crunching
  • Technical design or experience a major plus
  • BA/BS degree (MBA from top-tier University preferred)
