ASSOCIATE FASHION DESIGNER:

RAGS is looking for a qualified Associate Fashion Designer to join our amazing team! This is an awesome opportunity for someone with an eye for fashion and unique style. RAGS has made waves in the infant, toddler, and children’s fashion industry with our unique and innovative approach. We are looking for someone who can capture the essence of our brand with that same unique and innovative approach and create awesome products for our customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create flat sketches using Adobe Illustrator and provide construction details
  • Work with graphic designers to ensure deadlines are being met and the artwork is in line with creative vision
  • Research trends and bring in new ideas through shopping, magazines, websites, and runway shows
  • Ensure that proto samples are up to measurement, pattern, color, and quality standards
  • Inspect production to ensure it meets quality standards
  • Assist Creative Director in styling photoshoots, which includes: booking models, finding locations, and finding props for each shoot.
  • Review and approve lab dips, trims, and fabric details
  • Provide information for garment labels and hangtags
  • Participate in conceptual development of product lines and collections
  • Create mood and inspiration boards for each collection and season

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Apparel Design or equivalent industry experience
  • Must have a strong interest in fashion and unique fashion sense
  • Understanding of pattern design and garment construction
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience working with knits is a plus
  • Problem solver
  • Self-starter
  • Handle pressure in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously
  • 2+ years in the fashion industry

PHOTOGRAPHER:

RAGS is looking for a qualified photographer to join our amazing team! This is an awesome opportunity for someone with an eye for fashion and lifestyle imagery. RAGS has made waves in the infant, toddler, and children’s fashion industry with our unique and innovative approach. We are looking for someone who can capture the essence of our brand with that same unique and innovative approach and create awesome images for our viewers. We are looking for someone with plenty of experience in studio and lifestyle photoshoots. Our photographer will work with our creative team to create photo imagery for our website and social media outlets. If you’re incredibly creative and an "outside of the box" thinker, you’ll love this position. Under the direction of the Creative Director, you will be responsible for organizing both lifestyle and studio photoshoots as well as creating interesting flat lay imagery for social media. Below are more specifics and qualifications. PLEASE PLEASE ensure, when applying, to include examples of your work. We want to see what you’re made of! While it's appreciated for people from around the country to apply, we prefer candidates located in and around the Salt Lake City, Utah area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide art direction, photo styling, and set building for the preparation of photo shoots involving children
  • With the help of the Creative team, plan photoshoots from beginning to end
  • Help create mood boards and inspiration for each shoot
  • Scout and photoshoot locations
  • Secure models for each shoot
  • Find props
  • Create shot list to ensure every item of clothing has been accounted for
  • Ensure composition, expression, and lighting meet creative standards
  • Edit and manipulate digital files
  • Oversee all photo selects
  • Develop and promote efficient procedures to run studio like a business
  • Shoot flat lay imagery for website and social media (studio)
  • Shoot garments on models for website and social media (studio)
  • Understand effective techniques for lighting, audio/sound, and location scouting
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite products, such as Photoshop
  • Keep updated imagery for web banners for all pages and categories

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Mac-savvy skill set with particular emphasis on Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to work in a changing environment: Juggle multiple projects with quickly changing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and aesthetic sensibility
  • Skilled in color correction and photo retouching
  • Attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with children and ability to help them feel comfortable in front of the camera
  • Creative outside of the box thinker
  • Quick learner, team player, positive attitude and must be a self-starter
  • Work well under pressure
  • Organized
