Welcome to our BLOG!

Hi there!

Welcome to the RAGS blog! Rachel Nilsson here, founder and CEO of RAGS. We are soooo excited to launch our blog. Read on to find out WHAT a Rag is, how RAGS started, and what we're up to today!

WHAT IS A 'RAG'?

A 'Rag' is what we call the original snapless, buttonless romper. The one-piece Rag is created with a soft, stretchy fabric, ensuring a perfect fit on your little one with premium comfort. With our patent-pending elastic neckline, simply put your littles legs through, shimmy the Rag up their torso, and easily slide their arms in and out. Available in size 3-6 months to 5/6Y, the Rag makes dressing a babe or wriggly toddler a breeze. Plus older kiddos love them because they can easily and confidently dress themselves.

HOW DID RAGS START?

In 2014, during my husband’s grad school years, we were trying to make ends meet with 3 young boys. I started selling my kids handmade clothes on Instagram. With a wriggly toddler of my own, I wanted to create a romper that was functional but didn’t compromise on fashion or fit. I sewed one of my husband’s old shirts into the ‘Rag’ and the craze began. Week after week, Rags were selling out on Instagram. My seemingly small idea quickly snowballed into something bigger than myself -- what I had created resonated with young moms who loved to dress their kiddos in limited edition, fashionable clothing that was not only easy and fast to put on, but promised a comfy fit that allowed their kids to crawl, jump, or cartwheel through childhood.

WHAT IS RAGS UP TO NOW?

We’ve stuck to our limited edition model, which means we’re always bringing new goodness bi-weekly. The Rag will always be our staple but we’ve added more products along the way, including baby pouches and swaddles, kid and adult tees, hats, and more.

HAS RAGS BEEN FEATURED ANYWHERE?

Although it still feels like a dream sometimes, we’ve been featured on ABC's Shark Tank, highlighted in Vogue, Huffington Post, US Weekly, Forbes, Pop Sugar, Brit & Co, and more. Seeing how far we’ve come in a few years still blows me away. I know our amazing community of Raggers plays such a pivotal role in keepin’ this train chuggin’ and I love all of the support through the years.
